Thomas Davis

Professor of Psychology Psychology Program Chair

Dr. Davis began teaching at 红桃视频 in 1996. Since then, he has published a number of papers including 鈥渟tudents鈥 perceptions and reported use of their memories after a memory-improvement courses鈥 and presented seminars related to students鈥 engagement in virtual communities; the challenges of collaborative teaching; and the psychology of advertising, to name a few.聽 He reviewed the textbook,聽Psychology around Us聽before publication.

Dr. Davis teaches with the belief that the problems of the future can only be solved by inspiring original applications, fresh connections, and novel ideas. Application is the foundation of his approach. Whether students are designing personality surveys for Mars-bound astronauts or using statistical software to solve a mystery in a final exam designed as a statistics novel, he believes that creative application leads

 

Hobbies
In his spare time, he enjoys exploring trails with his 85-pound boxer 鈥淢oby,鈥 mountain biking, and MMORPG鈥檚 (massively multiplayer online role-playing game).
