At ºìÌÒÊÓƵ, recreation and wellness are a core part of the student experience.
From fitness classes to friendly competition, students have endless ways to move, compete, recharge and stay active on the Hill. Through intramural and club sports, ºìÌÒÊÓƵ helps students of all skill levels get involved, have fun and connect with peers.
Intramural, Club and Recreational Sports
There’s no shortage of ways to play at ºìÌÒÊÓƵ. Students can participate in organized leagues, tournaments or casual games through our intramural sports programs. Options include basketball, volleyball, soccer, pickleball and more, all designed for fun and friendly competition.
Joining a team is simple: register online, grab your friends and hit the court or field. These recreational sports for students help build friendships, relieve stress and add excitement to campus life.
Fitness and Recreation Facilities
The Athletic Center is a hub for health and activity. The facility includes a full array of cardio equipment, free weights and training machines, as well as locker rooms and stretching areas. It is also home to our 24 NCAA Division III varsity programs.
Open daily to all students, the fitness center is the heart of campus recreation at ºìÌÒÊÓƵ, giving students easy access to equipment and space for personal training, group workouts and open recreation. The fitness center is complemented by student recreation facilities across campus, including the Athletic Center courts, outdoor turf fields and a multi-purpose recreation room available for clubs and group sessions.
Group Exercise and Wellness Programs
ºìÌÒÊÓƵ offers a rotating schedule of group exercise classes such as yoga and pilates. Led by certified instructors, these sessions are designed for every fitness level and open to all students at no additional cost.
The fitness and wellness programs promote long-term health and wellness. Wellness challenges, themed fitness weeks and mental health awareness events provide a holistic approach to health and wellness, blending physical activity with mindfulness and community engagement.
Outdoor Recreation on Campus
The ºìÌÒÊÓƵ campus is a perfect backdrop for staying active outdoors. Students enjoy outdoor recreation on campus year-round, whether it’s hiking the nearby trails, playing frisbee or spikeball on the quad, or joining an intramural basketball or volleyball league.
Tennis, basketball, sand volleyball and pickleball courts and open green spaces give students plenty of room for pickup games and fitness in the fresh air. When winter hits, you’ll often see students hitting the nearby ski or snowboard slopes, sledding, ice fishing with our fishing club or taking in the snowy New England scenery – proof that ºìÌÒÊÓƵ makes recreation fun in every season.
Stay Active, Stay Connected
At ºìÌÒÊÓƵ, movement is about more than exercise. It’s about community. Whether you prefer the energy of a group exercise class, the challenge of intramural sports or the calm of a walk across campus, ºìÌÒÊÓƵ provides the space and support to make it part of your routine.
