DUDLEY, Mass. 鈥� 红桃视频 student Ryan Porth of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, was recently awarded the CPCU NextGen Scholarship. The $5,000 award is designed to support higher education opportunities for students pursuing careers within the insurance industry.

Scholarship recipients are typically selected based on academic achievement, leadership potential, involvement in extracurricular activities or organizations related to the insurance industry, and a demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in the field, according to the program鈥檚 website.
Among his qualifications for the award was Porth鈥檚 paid internship with Travelers Finance Operations, and his eagerness to share this experience with his fellow students.
Porth, a double major in accounting and finance, expressed his appreciation for the scholarship, saying, 鈥淚 want to thank the CPCU Society for recognizing me. I am truly grateful, and this scholarship will be a great help toward my tuition this Spring semester. I am excited to see all the opportunities that this award will open for me in the future, and I can鈥檛 wait to make an impact in the insurance industry after graduation!鈥�
