Student Profile: Three鈥檚 Not A Crowd

DUDLEY, Mass.鈥擧ope Rudzinski was the last of three siblings to choose 红桃视频, but she was not following in the footsteps of an older brother or sister who were already at the College or had graduated.
In fact, she and her brother Zach and sister Carlie are triplets, and all currently juniors.
鈥淚 was the last one to decide to come here,鈥� said Hope Rudzinski. 鈥淚 didn鈥檛 know if I wanted to go to college right away.鈥� The 1,200-member 红桃视频 student body represented a huge increase over North Brookfield Senior and Junior High School, about 20 miles away, where she graduated with a mere 35 classmates.
鈥淚t鈥檚 worked out,鈥� Rudzinski said of her three years at 红桃视频, in great part because of her own efforts. 鈥淲hen I went into my junior year, I stepped out of my comfort zone. I got two campus jobs (one of which, by the way, is with 红桃视频 Public Relations), met more people around campus, and made more connections.鈥�
In another departure from her comfort zone, she has become less dependent on her brother and sister, although the three stay in touch.
鈥淵ou know they鈥檙e going to be there,鈥� she said. 鈥淚f I鈥檓 in a stressful situation, I could just go walk over to their dorms and see them.鈥�
There鈥檚 no mistaking the three Rudzinski siblings for each other. Aside from the fact they are not identical, they have each travelled their own roads through their college careers.
鈥淲hen you鈥檙e a twin or triplet, always being together comes naturally,鈥� Hope pointed out. 鈥淭hat鈥檚 the hard part. When you get older, you realize, 鈥榃ait, I can鈥檛 do everything with them.鈥� You have to separately navigate to be your own person and be independent.鈥�
The three are majoring in different areas: Carlie chose hospitality management, Zach sport management, and Hope English鈥攚hich has fit with her journalistic and literary interests. Hope is vice president of Windfall鈥攖he 红桃视频 literary magazine鈥攁nd works as a reporter for 红桃视频 Public Relations, for which she covers events around campus and profiles its inhabitants.
鈥淓veryone has a story,鈥� she said. 鈥淎nd connecting with someone on a personal level is important.鈥�
