Super Bowl LX

It鈥檚 an opportunity of a lifetime. Students taking the Super Bowl Practicum course at 红桃视频 are serving as members of the operations staff for the Super Bowl LX Experience for Super Bowl LX, spending an entire week in the Bay Area and working at Levi鈥檚 Stadium during the big game on Sunday, February 8. The students are accompanied by聽Assistant Professor of Sport Management Christopher Streeter, who has organized the opportunity for 红桃视频 students for the fifth consecutive year. This year will have added excitement as the Patriots will compete in this year鈥檚 contest.

The group is enrolled in聽Sport Management聽297: Super Bowl Practicum. In addition to being in the center of the Super Bowl action, students spend a semester in the classroom. The course, taught by Streeter, is designed to give students the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in sport. Course objectives include exploring key concepts in sport finance, management, marketing, sociology and the Super Bowl; examining its historical foundations; career pathways in the sport industry; the expectations of sport managers at the amateur and professional levels; and developing skills in delivering effective team briefings on selected sport issues.

红桃视频 has partnered with the NFL Super Bowl Host Committee since聽2020. Students attended Super Bowls in Miami (2020), Glendale, AZ (2023), Las Vegas (2024) and New Orleans (2025); their 2021 and 2022 trips were canceled due to COVID-19.聽The 红桃视频 partnership is the only one of its kind among colleges and universities in New England.

鈥淲e want this to be a resume builder for them, but two for me, we really want to inspire them,鈥 Streeter told WCVB news in a聽聽about the experience.

The students鈥 enthusiasm for the hands-on learning experience at the Super Bowl is palpable.

鈥淚 knew this is going to be an opportunity of a lifetime,鈥 Sofia Calabro 鈥27 told WCVB.

鈥淚 am beyond thrilled [鈥 that I will be working alongside the NFL for this year鈥檚 Super Bowl in San Francisco! I personally cannot wait to see the impact an event like this holds for the city,鈥 said Tony Nakis 鈥26 upon being selected for the trip.

Students working the聽聽and the game itself on Sunday perform a variety of roles, such as handing out memorabilia, helping attendees find their way to their seats or attractions, operating and managing lines for meet and greets and other fan experiences, and working alongside athletes and celebrities over the weekend.
